Official Lies or Sales marketing  On small Toy Rigs

One thing i want to let you in on is drill pipe MARKETING.
(98% of all drill
pipe on these portable rigs is 1 inch pipe, the only thing differant is the thread style ,BUT IT IS
ADVERTIZED AS
1 3/8 DRILL PIPE. That sounds larger, but they are both the same. when you buy 1 inch
pipe just measure the OD (thats out side diameter measurements) SO WHEN YOU SEE ADS THAT SAY 1
3/8OD PIPE,remember your just getting 1 inch pipe measured on the out side.

One more thing to watch for is 250 psi water hoses . What good is 250 psi water hose when most of
these gas powered pumps only have psi ratings of 40 psi. You have to spend about 3800.00 to get pumps
that have psi of 150psi to 200 psi.Sounds good, but just another marketing sales ploy. If you really want
somthing that counts, get larger water course  swivel and larger drill pipe, these are what make a differance
in well drilling.

Life time warranty  Drill bits. When you can build these bits for 3$ bucks  a bit no problem replacing
them free. Most  are just flat bar welded to a .50 cent pipe nipple. Real drill bits cost! But real drill bits drill
wells. The small toy bits do work, but only in perfect condtions, when is the last time you had a perfect day.

3.5hp or 6.5 hp or 13 hp......
when buying a small TOY  portable rig or if you build your own rig using our rig plans book, hp is not very
important. With a gear reduction gear box the hp does not make very much differance. Most people worry
about what hp to buy and don't even worry about drill pipe size or water swivel water course. size Water
course and larger drill pipe is what make drilling better and easier.I have even tested one rig with small 2hp
power head. The 2 hp power head works to 100ft deep with no problems. It is nice to have alittle extra
power when you need it, but don't base  all your energy trying to get more hp.

Who makes the best TOY  portable rig?  Post hole digger conversion rigs are almost al the same, The
only thing differant about differant brands of portable  rigs is  the swivels & frame designed. A Lot of special
POWER words discribe the frames . THE FRAME ONLY DOES ONE THING, lift powerhead and drill pipe
up and down. If it goes up and down there in nothing else it needs to do. It's like a remote control tooth pick,
some things need to stay simple and don't need improvment.Thats why i suggest you build you own rig.
Light weight steel and no extra braces works great when shipping rates depend on how much it weighs. DO
YOU WANT A HEAVY DUTY RIG THAT DRILLS, or do you want a rig you saved 150.00 on shipping
cost . Once you start drilling it comes apart like a 2.00  Suit case.

Water Swivel PSI Ratings .
You must find out what the swivel weight rating is on the rig your buying. The Swivel weight rating will let
you know how deep it will drill. If your swivel rating is only 200lbs, then that means you can only put 100lbs
of drill pipe weight on it, so your limited to only drill what ever depth 200lbs of drill pipe goes. The only
reason companies do not post there swivel weight ratings is, then you would figure out that it is not possible
to drill as deep as they advertize, because drilling depth and weight ratings do not match up.. If your drill pipe
is 50lbs per 10ft joint, then to drill 500ft your total drill string weight would be 500lbs per 100ft  . So 500ft
would be 2500lbs, plus bit weight and then add alittle more for drill mud and bore hole drag.
