The most important part of any drilling rig is Swivel quality & weight rating, and drill pipe size. Even if your swivel in made by Nasa, if the water course flow size is small, you cant drill fast or deep. You have to have good water flow to drill easly. Small swivels and small drill pipe are not good. But larger swivels and larger drill pipe equals more money also. Don't buy a toy rig and expect to drill 300ft. If it seems to good to be true, it may be. |

Many companies claim, they sell real drill pipe, but is really , just plain thin wall china plumbing pipe, Advertized with Power words.Real drill pipe is heat treated and welded on tool joints connections. The easiest way to tell ,is the price. Plumbing pipe is cheap, and tool joint pipe starts at 160.00 per 10ft joint. If you have toy pipe, you have a toy rig. |
